Any fun old games?

>be me, somewhat tech savvy
>living in a poor country with nothing but a shitty laptop
>no money :(
>piracy :)
>my laptop can't run games made from 2013 and above
>stuck with old but still fun games
>other poor kids noticed and wants the games as well
>capitalism jpeg.
>gets a flashdrive and offer to download games for them for some cash
>other poor kids now come to me as a reliable source for videogames
>$$$

So, any fun and old games you guys would suggest? Preferably challenging action games that can be run on a potato, maybe even having a good community.

The metal gear series came to pc...
Try PS2 emulation in general see if you can run it

>>my laptop can't run games made from 2013
Why is that? Are you just making a guesstimate?

maybe not what youre looking for but its a classic, community is still alive as well and its very fun.
its free and a small download so can't hurt to try.

I downloaded some games from that year, and most of them run horribly that its nor worth playing. new games that doesn't ask for more than 2gb of ram is still fine though.

Homefront from 2011

Ironing board as a desktop? what a chad

Ooh, racing game, I'd love that. I think others would like it too. It can be played offline right?

>The metal gear series came to pc...
yeah, in 1987.

>Try PS2 emulation
Not a chance, kid.
Piss2 emulation is fucking awful, and demands a beefy CPU and lots of RAM.
Craptop users can steer away.

jesus christ, clean that fan of yours and get yourself an actual table

super mario brothers 3 is easily the funnest game of all time

path of exile

>Noita
Isn't that the game where every pixel is "simulated" or some shit? You sure OP's potato can run that?

The only spec I know about my laptop is the 2GB RAM and it being 32bit. I'm tech savvy, but not that tech savvy!

But yeah, thanks for the list.

From recent games, Dead Cells and Risk of Rain 1 come to mind
Could work, give it a shot I guess?

Doom
Quake
Half Life
Mario 64
Zelda: Link to the past

Yes.
And yes. It's system requirements are literally just:

OS: Windows Vista, 7, 8/8.1, 10
Processor: Dual Core CPU, Intel i5 or better
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: 512MB VRAM, OpenGL 3.0 support

You kids clearly never played Liero back in the day.

Download and run the SPECCY program, and then post screenshot of the window.
That tells us ALL the main specs.

>It can be played offline right?
Yes, although I think you need to be online to make an account for the first time, and then you can play offline too after. But I might be confusing that with trackmania 2, regardless you can play the game offline.

Its rust btw. I can clean the dust off daily, but that's the only thing I can do. Also, a table can't fit in this room.

>recommending speccy

Everything else should be easy enough to find, and run in either compatibility mode, or with fan patches applied.
If anything, this shit is almost TOO old for your pc. But far better than a lot of what else you’d find around the early 2010s
