I'm sick of faggots saying Doom 1 has better level design. This is a complete lie, it falls apart after Episode 1 and it doesn't have the SSG or the new enemies to carry the game.

I just summarized 90% of internet discussion regarding Doom. As for Duke nukem, its fucking dead and nobody talks about it anymore unless they're shitting on Duke Nukem Forever. But on the rare cases where it DOES get discussed seriously, people mention their favourite levels, the best episodes, the types of aliens. Just like serious Doom discussion.

For once OP is 100% correct. Romero's maps in Doom 1 are by far the best. The Baron spam gets very tiring in later maps. Doom 2 has its weak maps but the enemy variety is still pretty much the GOAT of FPS games.
