yeah, they are all the PSVita ports of Sigma 1 and 2, so they've got some restored enemy numbers that the PS3 versions did not have. and they can be modded. 3RE is pretty bad, though, but it comes along regardless.

PC Sigma 1 is good and that's really what you're getting it for

3RE is my favorite one. I like the pace of the combat and I prefer the 3RE bosses to NG2, I felt like in NG2 all I was doing during the bosses was that "guard break dodge reverse wind" thing over and over.

Does GamePass have Ninja Gaiden?

Reminder:

If you are interested in playing Ninja Gaiden and want the best experience with the IP, then take heed; avoid Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge. Ninja Gaiden Sigma is inferior to Ninja Gaiden Black, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is a censored, dumbed down, downgraded abomination and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge is a piece of shit because the foundation of the game is Ninja Gaiden 3 which attempted to betray the IP and become an interactive movie experience. There will be trolls, platform fanboys and shitposters who will make bait comments denying these facts, do not engage with them.

What are your options?
1. Play Ninja Gaiden Black and Ninja Gaiden II via Xbox backwards compatibility; Xbox One X (4K 60fps), Xbox Series S (1440p 60fps) or Xbox Series X (4K 60fps LOCKED).
2. Go for emulation on PC (Pic related shows how to get ISO files). Xemu emulates Ninja Gaiden Black 99% accurately at 4K 60FPS (only a graphical bug needs fixing): youtube.com/watch?v=aMTyXTyIx1E , Xenia emulates Ninja Gaiden II and it is getting better: youtube.com/watch?v=5QJgzMogN2Q

If you want to try this NG: "master" collection, then PIRATE IT. This garbage collection is a waste of your money, do not get scammed by it, be smart or you will get exploited. Don't know how to pirate? Download qBittorrent.

Want to punish Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo for this garbage collection? Buy it on Steam, leave a negative review, then refund it.

>Buy it so we can get Ninja Gaiden 4
No need, Team Ninja is already making NG4, that is why they port this collection in the first place.

Just understand that they're the Ligma versions, and thus inferior.

Eh what about the Fatal Frame game on steam same story?

It's a remaster of the Wii-U game. They fixed the big issues shortly after release. It's a pretty decent version to play, but the combat was built around the Wii-U gamepad's motion controls, so the PS4/5 versions are a little better due to the gyro support. The Switch port also has gyro support, but it's locked at 30fps. Any currently available version is fine if you want to play it.

It's one great game
One good game
And one bad game

>Doesn't have amazing reviews
That's because the port is shit. But it works. Buy when it's on sale or pirate, I don't believe it's worth the full price.
Also, don't worry about the autists. Sigma isn't in any way easier than the original or anything. In fact, it adds some new enemies.

I found it refreshing not having to fuck around with settings while getting a 1:1 experience.

god I hate how retarded Ninja Gaiden is with its rereleases. Some version has this, the other has this, oh but don't play that one, play the other one. WHy the fuck can't they just make a defenitive fucking version of these games?

this. Holy fuck what the hell were they smoking with those naming conventions and alternate versions

>yeah, they are all the PSVita ports of Sigma 1 and 2
The ports aren't sigma plus just vanilla sigma.

Razors Edge is actually kicking my ass. Got to the first mages in iran. They block everything.

However, the games difficulty lies in how gimped old moves are. Guillotine throw barely works, and the wind run hardly registers. You also have this new slide move to stagger the enemies which barely works on anyone other than low level enemies. The shuriken is also nerfed to armored enemies, which i can respect, but the other tools at your dispolal are also nerfed out of orbit. Nothing works like it used to despite being at your disposal.

Srysly, what the actual fuck?

What's Ligma?

>Xemu emulates Ninja Gaiden Black 99% accurately at 4K 60FPS (o
What about the second one

Ignore this fucking autist , Sigma 1 & 2 are fine. In terms of camera control, 2 is the better game between them.

I don't know man he seems pretty serious

If you genuinely have no other option to play then it's fine. I would always recommend first that you see if it's feasible to pick up a Series S or something to play the games at high resolution/60 fps. Ultimately it's a middling port

Sigma 1
>Side grade of Ninja Gaiden Black, does some things better does something things worse but ultimately 99% the same game. Even if you want to argue Sigma 1 is worse, if Black is a 10/10 Sigma is a 9/10

Sigma 2
>Black sheep of the collection I feel. Sigma 2 plays completely different than Ninja Gaiden 2. There are far less enemies on screen, enemies are also much tankier, and grabs do obscene amounts of damage. On Master Ninja difficulty all grabs will kill you instantly until you manage to get a lot of health upgrades. Sigma 2 goes from being mind numbingly easy on Acolyte-Mentor and then the sloggiest dogshit on Master Ninja because of OHKO grabs. This is a problem because grabs in Ninja Gaiden come out fast and are nearly impossible to react to

Sigma 2 comes with playable Rachel/Ayane/Momiji to use in campaign/Trials but took out the online component of the Trials from the original Sigma 2

Razor's Edge
>Overall step up from the original Ninja Gaiden 3 which is a Devil May Cry 2 tier trash sequel. Combat is fast, it's brutally difficult, the gore is off the wall. But the campaign is still awful, final boss being notoriously shit. The game is actually pretty good if you just play the Ninja Trials.

Overall pretty lazy port.
