I beat all FS games as a basic ass sword and board knight. In ER I tried out a ton of different builds and in the end I stuck with old reliable.

Just do the opposite of what you did in your first run. Did you use colossal weapons? Use a dagger and bob, weave, and poke bosses in gaps you didn't know existed. If you used katanas or other faster stuff go colossal and use stamp to punish the faggot bosses for ending strings and just trade with them on their weakest attacks to break poise in 3 interactions.

Mainly Faith. I used the broadsword for a minute, upgraded to faith spear. then eventually ran with the Winged Scythe for the rest of the game (sprinkling in some other faith weapons for fun). I stuck with it because it was working and I mainly wanted a weapon that had a large reach and the scythe was working well. It was also fun and looks cool.
