Hard if it is a game I am really into like Dynasty Warriors. If it is some bullshit like No More Heroes I will play on the easy mode to get it over with.

Usually go with normal, but if I gotta choose then hard

Hard mode, but not the hardest there is.

I don't i'll be playing your game any kind of way

I'm more of a normal mode but I do try hard at times. As long of course it's not hard as in "WE RAMP EVERYTHING UP WHILE ALSO TAKING AWAY ANYTHING USEFUL YOU GOT THROUGH YOUR PLAYTHROUGH" kind of hard.

Hard Mode forces the player to git gud and learn the game to actually do well, when you are pretty good at the game, you can then really analyze the different aspects about the gameplay and see what features are well made and what are poorly done
Hard Mode is a test to players, but it can also serve as a way for developers to show how it is possible to play their games even with added challenge and thus making the game more fun and having more to it rather than just blindly powering through it on Easy Mode
Of course, there is nothing wrong if you don't feel like learning the game and struggling and just want to enjoy the story or other aspects that seem more appealing to you, it's your play time so you can do whatever you want, but I do still feel playing on Normal or Hard mode lets see more of which a game can offer and the learning process can be satisfying, overcoming the challenge before you is fun, and if developers can make harder difficulties and still make the learning process fun, it amplifies how enjoyable a game truly can be if done right

if im not in turbo autist mode and these days i almost never am, normal

Depends on the genre, but I never choose easy mode.

I want it the hard way daddy.

If there's a hard mode, I pick it. Picking easy or even normal is an admission of defeat in my eyes since I'm taking the easy path instead of facing the challenges in front of me. I guess you could say I wouldn't have beat the game if I picked normal or easy.

For me it's:

>Very Easy
>Easy
>Normal
>>Hard
>Very Hard

I pick the hardest difficulty, if I learn the game on that difficulty then the lower ones will be a breeze

normal mode, nigger

I'm playing xcom 2 unapologetically in easy mode. Still getting squad wiped like crazy. It's not helping at all.

normal to check out the 'intended' difficulty, then see how it goes and check out other modes based on my experience

Hard but mod it to be easy

How does it feel to be dumber than a game AI?

Normal. Hard mode is a poorly designed afterthought in 99% of games.

Hard if the game actually inserts different mechanics/restrictions to it and isn't just *lol enemies hit harder while you hit softer!"
Normal if it is just number inflation.

bad

Easy mode, I play games for the story

>hard makes enemies bullet sponges
Cringe
>Hard makes enemies die with one bullet but you also die in one bullet
Based

Hard unless it's a character action game like DMC or Bayo since you're meant to do multiple playthroughs anyway to learn the game

Depends, but unless otherwise stated in the difficulty settings, I assume that normal is the game as the developer intended and play that at first. If I'm never dying or being challenged, I bump it up to hard though

normal mode

a man's butt.

Well the choice is yours

To add onto this. The only games I ALWAYS play on the easiest difficulty are arcade game. They're made unreasonably hard to take quarters and rarely offer a fair challenge

Hard mode, but only if it actually makes it more challenging instead of making everything bullet sponges.
Also easy mode when grinding.

N

Whichever is the most fun.

Who are you? Chris Handsome?

Usually an inbetween, but if some games only have easy or hard than I pick hard. If it's an option that is easy to select from a settings menu, then it is meant to be used.
That and if you pride your game on being "super difficult just like the old days!" then I play easy by default because your hard usually translates to random bullshit for the sake of getting a cheap kill.

Depends on the game but usually hard/hardest since most games are a piece of cake. However, I stray away from hardest when it's
>1 hit kills
>damage sponges
>you need to beat the game on another difficulty first

Underrated post

I like the easy mode when given the choice. I am tired of hard mode just meaning the enemies have more hp and pound me harder.
