i'm playing KH2 and i really have to agree. every single part of the game is so much better and for one there's some actual difficulty there if you pick proud mode, everything is smooth and the combat is fast pace. KH1 is way too clunky

Yes like 9-10 years after the official release, which also completly removed pal dub, which was unironically one of the best features of the vanilla games.
I do admit that the fm versions are better than the base games, regardless the ps3 versions especially 2.5 was fucking bad, with missing dubs.
