DaS2 shits itself in the first half instead

wrong
one reborn sucks, mergo's wet nurse sucks, micolash sucks, celestial emissary and ebrietas sucks, moon presence sucks

>souls title
Its title is Bloodborne. Man, I am tired of English Second Language (ESL) people.

Neither did ds3 or sekiro

>"doesn't shit itself in its second half"
>Cainhurst and Upper Cathedral Ward cut to hell and beyond
>Celestial Emissary
>needed a DLC to add back in shit they thought up for the base game like the Cathedral's hidden floor beyond an elevator altar, the open Lumenflowers in the garden or visiting Yharnam's clocktower, one of if not the biggest landmark in the game and yet it's mysteriously irrelevant
BB being the game that hides it the best doesn't mean it doesn't suffer from it

When will you fuckers stop being obsessed with DS2. Every thread, even those that have nothing to do with. Hilarious

>they suck because... uh... t-they just suck OK?!?!
Micolash is the only legitimately indefensible one in that list

>Cainhurst and Upper Cathedral Ward cut to hell and beyond
They're still great
>Celestial Emissary
Who cares
>Yharnam's clocktower, one of if not the biggest landmark in the game and yet it's mysteriously irrelevant
If you can't see the significance of the clocktower leading directly to the Fishing Hamlet, the most kino map FromSoft has ever made, then you truly don't appreciate the game.

>kino speech
>kino meme fight
>kino music
>kino outfit
>kino fate
>kino scenario
>kino gimmick
Nikolash is great

Frenzy is bullshit.

>They're still great
They're still cut, and pale in comparison to the first half
>Who cares
A half assed boss that wasn't a boss but was made so because the second half pales in comparison to the first half
>If you can't see the significance of the clocktower leading directly to the Fishing Hamlet
In the DLC, made because it was lacking in the base game, the second half of which pales in comparison to the first half. See where I'm going with this? Like the Celestial Emissaries and everything else as much as you want, saying BB is a game that "doesn't shit itself in its second half" is plain wrong.

I don't like the later game, because I can't look at Lady Maria without thinking about how badly she needs a BBC.

>Central Yharnam - Gascoigne - Cleric Beast
Fantastic
>Cathedral Ward - Amelia
Fantastic
>Old Yharnam - Blood Starved Beast
Great
>Forbidden Woods - Shadows of Yharnam
Good
>Byrgenwerth - Rom
Disastrous
>Yahar'gul - The One Reborn - Darkbeast Paarl
Paarl is the one saving grace for an area that is among the souls franchise's very worst
>Lecture Building
Eh, should have been attached to the main game world. Otherwise innofensive.
>Nightmare Frontier - Amygdala
Dull, pointless, with a pushover boss
>Nightmare of Mensis - Micolash - Mergo's Wet Nurse
Thoroughly mediocre and often extremely tedious
>Hemwick Charnel Lane - Witches of Hemwick
Refreshing level design, but an utterly worthless boss
>Castle Cainhurst - Martyr Logarius
Classic aesthetic, but painfully underutilised and full of tedious enemies. The run back to Logarius is arduous as well.
>Upper Cathedral Ward
Completely and utterly wasted potential. Shit essentially. Ebrietas is great, but so disconnected from the area it's almost not worth mentioning.
>Hunter's Dream
Only here for the sake of the bosses, but they're both pretty good. One mechanics-wise, and the other thematically/visually.
>Chalices
Garbage

I like Nightmare of Mensis so screw you.
The run back to Logarius takes 10 seconds.

Discounting this guys time wasting, it's still easily over a minute

>Micolash is bad because...because all fights should be roll spam fests.

micolash is bad because its a shitty chase fight with arbitrary high-damaging minions and ohko split second spells that require an unintuitive forward-diagonal dodge to avoid
it's tedium at best

yet it's the only souls game I dropped TWICE in the second half and never finished. and I have quality taste. it's a good game but just a watered down souls game. uninteresting RPG mechanics, everything looks the same, combat is overly reliant on being offensive r1 spamming or cheesing enemies with charged R2. feels like adhd nonsense

Best weapon after the cleaver.
