So you're not going to get it. But basically, One Piece was liked for not being retarded like other shonen in terms of powerlevels, and about how the MC was not special or predestined or anything. For decades and over 1000 chapters it was confirmed in-universe and out-universe (IRL meta) that he had the rubber fruit. In the last chapter, they retconned that he actually has a mythical zoan fruit of a god that conveniently happens to give rubber properties. Oh and it's not any god, it's particularly the god of liberation that can destroy the world government, and it was supposed hunt for over 800 years to no success (yet somehow the world government never cared about Luffy at any point in these 1000 chapters). Also the transformation's aesthetics are saiyan hair and bullshit toonforce powers

Luffy's fruit being a Paramecia granting a rubber body is a World Government coverup to disguise that the fruit is actually a Mythical Zoan, of the comic god "Nika". Nika possesses a rubber body and only his imagination limits him to what he can do with it.
In the past owners of this fruit always carried the torch of liberation, and Zoan fruits have a mind of their own so it always eluded the World Government's clutches no matter how many times they tried to capture it.

Luffy finally experienced his fruit's awakening, calling the form "Gear 5th", and is now proceeding to stomp big dragonman Kaido with his wacky cartoon powers now.

Gears are always related to his fruit. At first we thought it was him using his rubber powers in clever ways, but actually it was him using his low-level reality warping 'freedom" powers to manifest what he IMAGINED his rubber powers SHOULD be able to do into reality.

Inflating his arms for gear 3rd to punch harder makes no logical sense because air doesn't increase the mass he can put behind his punches, if anything it would spread it out and make them weaker. But them increasing in strength because he THINKS that's how it should work makes sense in this new context.
