I did the most mechanically advanced playthrough possible.
Chances are the shortcuts you took made you lose out on the complexity of your playstyle. You choose to play in an inferior style instead of pure-str tank, which is the only playstyle that uses the full ER moveset.
If you havent explored the combat to its fullest potential then you have never played the game.

Bosses are exhausting hyper combo slogs that sometimes even go outside of the camera. I've beaten all the games without summons, without magic, no shields before but I cannot be fucked to do so with ER. Maybe if I went down the STR route but I'm DEX/INT so die fast and easy. Blocking shreds my stamina and gets me guard broken as everything hits hard. So I'm stuck with rolling. I will use ashes, I will use magic.
