definitely. the game still holds up very well. sound design is really good. gameplay is still serviceable.
use an emulator. duckstation is good.

Pretty fun if you don't mind the PS1 graphics.

It’s only like an 8 hour game so yeah it’s worth that amount of time. It’s not an amazing game but it’s solid and the music is dope

i think it's aged pretty poorly compared to a lot of the ps1 library

Yes its a solid game and the post game content (Chrysler Building) is one of the most challenging climbs of skill and endurance. I dare say it is one of the best games i ever played and still play to this day.

The concept of an rpg super dungeon being the Chrysler Building is so sick. Perfect use of the setting.

The CGI scenes hold up fantastically for the most part too. Back then, Square had a studio staffed with real Hollywood talent with CGI experience working on movies like Terminator 2 and Jurassic Park making cutscenes and it really shows.

Yeah I adore dungeon crawlers, so shit like that and Digion World 2 appealed to me a lot. Tho fuck me if DW2 was not the biggest time sink of my life. I dont think i could do half the shit i could do in my youth now.

I'd actually love a horror game that more closely follows the book but I don't even know what form it could take. Maybe a 90s style graphic adventure or something with puzzles that draw heavily on real scientific procedures could capture the same spirit.
