First half is some of the absolute content put in a video game

What, exactly, went wrong?

Elden Ring is one of the games of all time

In my humble opinion the game has like 4 "half"

The first half isn't that good either, just people falling for hype again.

>first half is easy
>second half is hard
you're giving it away too easy filterpleb

Nothing went wrong. 2nd half is also some of the content put in a video game, same for lost izalith 2bh

The first half is probably peak vidya.

both halves are some content

>What, exactly, went wrong?
retards got duped into playing another shit gayme, again, for like the 7th time LMFAO

why? can you elaborate on this claim?

>mountaintop of the giants
Really cool area, awesome looking vistas and fun enemies. Too little content though
>Farum Azula
Second best area of the game
>snowfield
Shit in retrospect, but still fun to do once
>haligtree
One of the best areas From has ever made
>mohgwyn palace
Great but too short

Where's the shit game exactly?

Covid fucked this game up, I'm pretty confident about that.

i liked Lost Izalith...

Explain how the back-end of Elden Ring is supposed to compare to Lost Izalith, because I see absolutely zero comparison between them. You seem very stupid

filtered

>liurnia
>caelid
>nokron
all kino

>the capital
>volcano manor
>farum azula
also kino

this is the first and only souls game that is absolute kinography from beginning to end

I'm nearly done the mountaintop of the giants right now, has the second half not started yet?
Because I don't see the kind of quality drop that people are claiming

>Second half makes Lost Izalith look like a masterpiece
Nothing you idiots say will ever make this true.

The picturesque green forest of the early game can't exist without the dark castle hell-dungeons of late game. It's the zen balance of all good RPGs

what IS wrong with lost izalith?

hope you like blindness

My only problem with Haligtree is that it needed at least one new enemy. Even if was just a Cleanrot Knight that used a few new moves or cast some new Faith/Scarlet Rot spells.

What did you enjoy about Haligtree besides the visuals? The enemies and enemy placement is horrible.
>Two (2!) fucking Erdtree avatars. One of them has the tendency to get stuck inside a hallway and just spam his seeking lasers so you can't get close to him.
>A shitton of basic Altas Plateau knights.
>Many rooms with 2+ cleanrot knights together. Fun on their own but together it's a slog without using cheese.
>At the bottom some crystaline fuckers and revenants
If it wasn't for Malenia I would rank the area as one of the worst in the game.

Soul

Copypaste dinosaur butts and bed of chaos, mainly.
Aside from that it really isn't that heinous of a level. The demon statues are lackluster as enemies but nothing offensive, and the chaos eaters are at least visually compelling. At the very least you can run through Izalith relatively quickly and without muc hassle save for the boss, unlike something like 4-2 which is always a genuine pain.

most of the area is empty lava, the city itself is pretty small and linear
all the enemies are reused except the chaos eaters, which are pretty cool. The dragon butts are silly and don't make sense, the fat statues are really easy
and bed of chaos is one of the most frustrating bosses in the series if you're not familiar with it, a mandatory gimmick boss that instakills you by dropping you in a hole again and again
That being said I do think it looks good, the bloom really makes it feel hot, and the ziggurat buildings are interesting.

>bonfire miles away from boss, (even further if you dont find the secret bonfire)
>shittiest boss of all souls games that's basically impossible first try making sure you run back the whole path again
>level itself doesnt have anything of interest outside equipping the orange charred ring

Nope.

Enemies are easy though. The exploration is one of the best I've ever seen in game, felt like Lost Izalith but if it was actually made well done.

4-2?

it's called quarters retard

What went wrong is after Leyndell the game falls apart.

why, because it has pretty landscapes? is that your criteria for a great game? fucking christ. elden ring's world is pretty and has some really nice vistas but that's really about all it has going for it. the world is empty as fuck and is essentially just one giant arena

My favorite e-celeb said it was bad.

Shrine of Storms 4-2, where you're kited towards a linear route of skeleton ganks whistl mantas pelt you with barbs and narrow stairways with beefy enemies that shoot an intensely damaging and difficult to avoid beam. It's a competently constructed level but I'd be lying if I said its even remotrly enjoyable.

Yes they are all easy (except for revenants without using heal spells). But it really could used unique enemies.
By the time I got to the Haligtree I didn't enjoy of those enemies anymore. The game doesn't have enough enemy or boss variety for its length.

>First half is some of the absolute content put in a video game
Imagine thinking that's true. It just took longer for you to realize the game is garbage.

I just wish they took care of NPCs first. Towards the end of the game, the variants and copy paste gets abundant and I think that's because they just needed to go ahead and release the game. They probably did have cool ideas for the side dungeons but they just had to stick Big Nigga Worm in at least 5 areas.
