I expected mediocrity but this is a legitimately great game. It's not a masterpiece, it isn't ambitious enough for that, but it's incredibly well polished for what it is. Way better than any other Kirby game. For once the metacritic score is accurate, this is a solid 8.5

My most recently played Kirby games were Star Allies and Dreamland 3. They made me forget that the preceding "Return" trilogy was legitimately great and it wasn't just me being fatigued with the formula.

It's not even a great game for kids. I'm sure they would do alright with it, but the game is meant to be 100% and they don't have the patience to do that. This is definitely a game for adults that can be played by kids as well, primarily in the co-op mode that gives them a retard proof character to control.

That's what Nintendo does best which is execution. There really hasn't been any actual invention from Nintendo on gameplay or graphics in their games since N64.

You just rushed the game if you think this is easy. Getting 100% in every level is a pain in the ass, especially compared to the usual Nintendo games.
