Depends on the character but some are costume swaps, and some have new character models with unique attacks, e.g. DMC1 Dante or Shaheen from UMVC3 with his SFV moveset adapted for UMVC3's gameplay.

For me, it's capcom vs snk 2. The custom combo groove that just lets everything chain into everything else is fun.
