One of my all time favorite boss fights

One of my all time favorite boss fights.
Not sure why Any Forums kept telling me he was a shit fight.
Probably the only time From has nailed a huge enemy fight.

Too easy. Just rode around whacking his left leg. Didn't even have to heal.

How did you manage to stay on torrent?
I would lose him in about 10 seconds when I walked in?

Phase 1 is fun, phase 2 is absolute fucking trash. You either try to play it fair by hitting his hands like you're clearly supposed to and the whole thing is retarded or you just keep hiding behind his toes and nib at his health which is completely safe and easy and also completely retarded.

The boss is also way too big for this stupid camera.

What's the lore reason he has a big face on torso? How did it evolve that way?

He's possibly the avatar of a fire god. The fire monk set also has the face on it.

All the giants had that face in their chest. Its a manifestation of their fire god (if you pay attention the dire monk armors have it too) all the other giants and trolls in the game have it carved out

hitting his hands was fun though

>Charge in as he recovers
>Whack his foot till phase 2
>Phase 2 is even easier, just stick to his back poking his remaining leg

You didn't beat him

Yeah, I thought it was a really cool fight. Second phase is kinda sloppy though and it felt like every time I sprinted on the horse up to finally get a hit in, he'd just roll away again. But regardless, really well done and I'm glade we finally have a PROPER giant fight.

So far the most frustration I've had with the main story bosses have been Maliketh and Hoarah Loux. For Maliketh I still don't even know how to beat him, I honestly just got lucky one time and somehow I was able to get a couple hits in before he completely wombo-combo'd me. Just had RNGesus on my side that time and he spent more time just walking at the pillars instead of jumping and jumping.

I'm currently stuck on Hoarah Loux (second phase). First part, Godwyn, is simple enough once you get the hang of jankiness of the earthquake fissure attack, but I get completely bodied every time I get to phase 2. Once he goes full on Hulk Hogan I can't even find a fucking place to get even a quick rapier R1 poke in before he completely murders me.
Feels like one of those bosses where you have no choice but to just kite it for 30 straight minutes waiting for the one situation out of a dozen moves that give you the slightest opening to do anything (R1, heal, etc)

The moment I realized Alexander was fucking garbage and I hope he dies horrible.
Summoned the faggot only for him to walk around aimlessly near the entrance while me and Floh are fighting for our fucking lives

No it's not, if you're actually melee (weapon art from a mile away don't count) you can get fucked 98% of the time by the pattern and never have the time to hit the hands when they're on the ground AND get instantly punished

My god barricade shield with a great spear was the most broken combo I’ve ever seen endgame. Literally facetanked Maliketh and every boss after just poke spamming behind my shield and they all fell to me knees effortlessly. Haven’t used it since the nerf.

I haven't gotten to her yet. After clearing Ashen Capital I was planning on doing the two "secret" areas past the snowfield, Mohgwyn's Palace and Haligtree.

for Hoarah Loux I was trying to figure out an alternative playstyle or method to defeating him, but I'm legitimately at a loss. I thought "maybe I should try a shield" but that wouldn't help against the underground earthquakes, much less his grapple attacks that, of course, ignore shields. Seems there's really no room for other play-styles with this Hulk Hogan motherfucker. You VILL passively kite him for 60 seconds at a time waiting for the slightest opening to get some chip damage in.

So frustrating, I was just ONE HIT away from killing this fucker before he jumped at me through a cloud of smoke and did the football touchdown move with my ass.

What the fuck was his problem?

Nah, if you use barricade it still blocks his earthquakes. I also had the shield +24 which literally made it so no attack even made my stamina go down at all, no matter how ridiculous as long as barricade was active.

I fought this fucking guy with claws yesterday. It wasn't hard just super annoying, constantly chasing him down and trying to claw him.
