>Complete a NPC sidequest.
They Die Horribly.
Why is it always like this?
Who hurt him?
Hidetaka Miyazaki game design
its le epic grimdark twist
now stop asking questions and praise souls story that you heard from vaatividya
it's just mostly absurdity
There is no point for the existence of the NPC after their quest is finished, so why would you care?
Miyazakibart... forgive me.
i do. a lot of NPCs in souls games are cool guys who i want around. besides, some of them sell things and they don't have to be just merchants
It's just the style. Every world his games are set in is fucked and everyone's dying/in disarray.
you get to marry ranni though
Whoever he knows that looks like this in real life.
I agree it is getting kinda ridiculous at this point.
It's the Yoko Taro school of writing.
Also known as the hack school of writing.
They aren't your pets. They usually stay until you fuck something up though, buying all their items, sending them out, moving their questline on, etc. You can even get their stores back in some of the games. Again, they've served their purpose, no reason to keep them around.
one of their purposes is for me to look at them and RP with them and make up dialogue of my own according to the game's story and lore, and a lot of them are still there. you don't even play games, son, if you can't find anything to do with NPCs; let alone pretty notable ones with a name and some kind of story and background
i would have accepted if if you had said something in the lines of
>well, it's a bad world and everyone is dying
At least he toned down NPCs cackling and laughing after every other sentence.
>Kills random NPCs
Small time
>Genocides entire villages because a marriage starts failing
Having them be static objects that don't do anything takes their lifeliness away. Sounds like you kept your child like fantasy though. Most people didn't.
But they say things to me.
>There's no point for them to be around
Then why can't they just be like "Well I'm going on a journey later bro." Instead every single time without fail it's "and then the guy dies or goes crazy and you have to kill them."
Find me 5 questlines outside of DS2 where they don't end this way.
>5
>outside of one of few games
Get fucked and cope harder faggot
According to you guys Miyazaki had no involvement in 2 so you can't use 2.
You can die and still be happy. Sometimes people have life goals and gain fulfillment and then die. Why live and do nothing forever? It’s meaningless.
The face of a nihilist faggot.
The best quest line in elden ring ends with the focal NPC dying.
In glorious one-on-one combat with the tarnished. He dies happy.
The focal npc?
Focal. Focus. Subject. The main party involved.
ALEXANDER.
The pot?
