Probably discovering for the first time the alternate routes, it was so cool, also getting all the medals and unlocking expert mode

How would you bring the starfox franchise back to life in 2022?

the easy meme answer would be
>by making a good game lol
but then the question is how to make the game good, right out of the gate, no obligatory gimick controllers

Game turns 25 next month

fug, you're right! 1997 was 25 years ago, damn

Star fox 2 and adventures turn 5 and 20 respectively too

>starfox 2 turns 5
crazy isn't it?

Yes. I was someone who thought it would never get an official release. I can now confidently say the switch has all the star fox games i ever want to bother playing lol

beating macbeth the first time, took me forever to win, even longer to hit all the switches and get the other exit.

Back to basics. Same design as Star Fox 64 but modern graphics and maybe a larger set of missions/alternative paths.
It's the same for final fantasy. Go back to turn based with modern graphics.

length is one of the biggest issues for starfox in the modern age, back in the 90s you could get away with releasing a short game with great replayability, today that doesn't seem to be the case, i wonder how can that issue be fixed

its unfair star fox got its chance for a revival on wii u

Starfox 64 PC port when?

no man's sky clone

>i wonder how can that issue be fixed
there are no pretty solutions. they'd make it a budget game or cram a bunch of skinnerbox/progression bullshit. likely both.

>>releasing a short game with great replayability
Perhaps just sticking to this and selling it at a lower price point. Many gamers these days weigh their purchase decision on "cost per hour." Assuming it's not live service or free-to-play, I'm paying $70.00 [miss the $60 price point], so how many hours is the game?

based Wolf enjoyer, a great rival for Fox

Zero was just miyamoto fucking around it was never a serious priority for Nintendo. Fox will return

the problem with lowering the price is they'll cut a lot of corners and fans will bitch about it looking like a mobile game. it would also be a big departure of what the series was known for; pushing the hardware of the console.
