since this is a reddit thread I always fucking hated navigating threads there
idk if it's changed since then but years ago it would show every single reply to a post and every single reply to those replies right after each other. if you wanted to see the second post made replying to the OP you had to scroll half the page to find it
it just sucks shit to navigate that place

Twitter annoys me for the same reason. It's almost arbitrary whether a reply will be below or above the thing it's replying to.

Bosses in souls games are an extremely subjective experience.
For instance I really struggled against the Godskin Apostle, needed many many tries.
But I killed the Godskin Duo on my first try almost effortlessly.

Messages are hardcoded to go at the bottom of interaction priority so it's literally NEVER an issue.

I have to wonder what these people are thinking.
Why not just play one of the numerous games that has these features instead?
Do they want to 'fix' puzzle games by adding an auto-solve feature? Platformers by making it impossible to miss platforms after jumping?

I don't think they should disappear. I think getting like 5-10 poor appraisals on your message should cause you to take damage just like how getting good ones makes you heal.

Just remove messages. Every wall has a "invisible wall" message, even without it you would be rolling into every wall anyways because that's just what you do in games like Wolfensiten 3d or any game with hidden walls and no visual tell. Those walls taht take like 50 hits to get through, well you wouldn't find out about them anyways naturally and the 1000s of fake messages won't help you. And at this point every enemy encounter is literally a trap in some way, don't need a message to tell you that. Everything else is just finger butt hole. There is no reason to keep messages around anymore.

TBF, that's actually a feature I agree with. I haven't had any MAJOR issues but it is still irritating to see all the fucks sticking their messages by ladders and shit. Only once has this ever been so intrusive as to get me killed but it is inconvenient. Death Stranding had a feature like this for shit other people built that manifested in your world, like ladders and bridges and whatnot, where you could remove them because they were either unhelpful or were in the way of something better you wanted to place. If you think a message is shit or it's somewhere that tries to conflict with something you regularly interact with and don't feel like having to do the extra button press every time to switch to it, you should be able to get rid of it.

I honestly can't tell who is in a worse state at this point: Any Forums or reddit?
Any good alternatives to discuss vidya without people sperging out.
Preferably somewhere that doesn't rely on updoots and ego.
Steam forums, maybe? I don't fucking know, but I don't wanna use this board anymore and I definitely am not going to migrate to reddit.
