Alright Any Forums, assuming DLC is coming, what do you think it will be about? Who will we fight? Where do you think the access points will be?
Pic related seems like an obvious spot to open up in DLC but I doubt it'll have much content, probably just a special PVP arena as part of a larger DLC, maybe a boss rush style tournament if we're lucky. What do you think?

Apparently not, and given how short and boring the "quest" is (not that the duels aren't fun and the item isn't good) it seems like a given that more content will be unlocked there at a later date. The sealed arena is too obvious an area to leave sealed with a nonverbal NPC in front of it.

Idk, there's 6 Shard Inheritors in the game, 1 of which is shared by Fraternal Twins Miquella and Malenia, Miquella isn't in the game in a real way. He's a lore/background/set dressing character. I'm assuming you're talking about him.

Yes, but that's just part of the setpiece, its just his arm, you can't interact with it, he's not an NPC, enemy or boss.
2's also had time travel. Brume Tower took place in the past, I know for a fact, as Alonne is already dead in the base game (because you killed him in the past). The others probably did too.

There's multiple closed arenas like that across the map, there's one in Limgrave and Leyndell off the top of my head. I don't think those are dlc I think those are going to be pvp arenas like they've had in the other games. I'm assuming those will be a free update but there is a precedent for pvp arenas being locked behind dlc so who knows.
My best guess for DLC is that we'll be able to interact with Miquella and either teleport to a new area or get a key that unlocks a new area.

You're right, I forgot about Alonne since it's just a segment of ivory king rather than the whole thing. Doesn't feel quite the same but definitely still counts.

Is 3 really time travel? The Painted World absolutely can exist in the present since it's just an evolution of Ariamis and the Ringed City seems more akin to a different point of convergence where the world is spiraling in on itself.

That part is undeniably time travel, but there's a fair bit more to the DLC than just "egg lady and hollow Gael."

In 3 there's both past timetravel in the Untended Graves and future timetravel in the Klin of the First Flame and Dreg Heap
The egg spell was time stasis, so it simply brought the Ringed City to the current time, the REAL future time travel happens in the Klin of the first flame in the base game,
