I am glad I saw the warning signs for this game.

Granted that sign was "the FFXV team is making this" and by god it shows

looks as fluid as returnal but with better UI, funner and a cute protag

This game looks like they heard people complaining about the magic grenades from FFXV and tried to fix it by building an entire game around a magic system but literally didn't fix all of the other problems regarding FFXV.
To me this game still just looks like an unfinished empty open world that's borderline just a tech demo game.
With all the fucking assets they didn't even use for FFXV you'd think it would look better and with SquareEnix's current track record of games released I know I'm not crazy for having very low expectations for this game.
I guarantee right now that it's not going to be feel like it's worth a 70$ price tag, every squareenix game released recently has not been worth over full price.

Thats basically the vibe I've gotten as well. A promising kernel or idea of a game pushed and memed into a full title by insistent executives. Everything I've heard suggests the combat is zippy and fun but shallow, the world is empty and devoid of life, and the isekai protagonist is a crutch
