Is Mass Effect the only cool expansive sci-fi game/series released in the last two decades? every other game that dips into sci-fi at al either has a "scrappy"(outer worlds) or "sterile"(destiny) look to them.

Can't wait for the sequence where an orchestral music plays as you get out of the ship and see the totally all-new decor of the sci-fi world before farming colorful 'aliens' and returning to the main base to buy better equipment with my 'space credits' and talking to the soulless NPC's. Let me guess, there's gonna be at least one girlboss character, a comic relief, a (probably black) grumpy guy whose past is so dark it would give you shivers.

EA kneecapping the ending hoping to placate the imaginary "I started at ME3" audience, does nothing to ruin everything that came before it.
The ending itself does actually work for that purpose, the problem is there needed to be 2-4 other separate solutions for the people that actually played the games.
im pretty sure they officially canned support, last i checked it took them months just to take down the christmas seasonal decorations.
