The problem is that before the nerf he only had a one viable strategy to be used on him, which was hugging his nutsack and hitting him whenever he used the correct attacks which would let you hit him.
And then bait his giga gravitas, stand behind his ass and hit home hard.
That's it, the boss looked extremely cool but it was impossible to fight him from any other range due to his gigantic hitboxes designed to murder the NPC army all at once

My experience was very different from that. I felt like his hitboxes weren't well matched to the players hurtbox at all. So many attacks just whiffed above my head so I kept clapping him.
Melee, no summons and I found him too easy. Was really scratching my head when I read that they made his hitboxes even smaller.
