Well if you are looking for choice and consequences in an RPG Skyrim is your game.
They are actual consequences that show up real time. They did not go the faux consequence route with cutscenes changes. They did actual consequences.
Skyrim is the closest Bethesda has come to making a pure RPG.

It's funny dragons in elden ring are minor boss fights but they totally eclipse skyrim in every way possible and the entire point of skyrim was the dragons.

Yeah but class building is shit in comparison, magic is unbalanced and not as broad, there are no towns or holds, the questing is terrible, even the stat design is bad, there is no interesting alchemy and potion making, and you can't build a house and bring your orphan children to live in it.
In Skyrim you get to live as a different person and the mods blow ER out of the fucking water.
The Vigilant mod alone paired with base Skyrim already makes is a god tier kino, plus 300+ mods more it because the best game ever and it's only getting better. Some mods are even entirely new games. FOR FREE.
Fuck off you shill. ER is a great game and easily GOTY, but it doesn't beat skyrim and it never will.
I would like to see a combination of ER/Soulsborne, Skyrim, and Monster hunter. I think it would make for a master piece. I do think that Skyrim's age leaves to subject to obscurity soon, but let's face it ER being best game of the year was a fluke and gaming is on a path of becoming irreversibly pozzed.
It's fans that are revitalizing gaming, not gaming companies.
