>Every area is a stealth combat arena
>Some normal enemies suk
Is this criticism true?
3/SE
>stealth
literally never once.
>normal enemies are grunts
yes?
>Some of the normal enemies suk
Is it true??
>Every area is a stealth combat arena
You must be playing DMC5
Well the fanbase got what they asked for eh?
I guess, I don't know what to tell you. It's like asking if Goombas and Koopas suck in ratio with Hammer Bros. and Lakitus. Regular enemies aren't anything to write home about no, that's why they're "regular".
Some enemies are tedious to fight against.
Stuff like fallen, soul eaters, etc.
This is rare, but it does hamper the gameplay.
No, my point is of course 'normal' enemies are standard and you ramp up to things like The Fallen and even as lame as Chess Set can be, it can be pretty cool enemy hiking and dive kicking around Queen dashes and King/Bishop AoEs.
>enemy hiking
?!???????
Some advanced tech I didn’t know about?
Disingenuous image since right is better. Completely glosses over the fact that DMC3 doesn't have good enemy encounters and the backtracking Resident Evil-lite aspect of it is the worst part.
>play spiral tower as a kid
>ended up backtracking far more than needed
God I hated that shit, especially with the spider room and the gear room.
I'll never understand why fans wanted this. The main campaign shouldn't suffer from terrible levels that are just hallways which only serve to fight enemies. You have to have stuff to break the action or else it feels like a slog. The first playthrough is always the most important. Combofags need to stick to the void and bloody palace if all they want to do is fight enemies, it's why it's there. I dread this if Onimusha ever returns.
Brainlet take
Onimusha was easier than Resident Evil 4 bro, and while the level design was fine, Ogre pages were fucking gay.
Fuck any "devil may cry game" after the first one.
Fuck Crapcum
If you like the original DMC, support Team Little Angel and buy Bayonetta 3
>after the first one
>recommending Bayo when it's just as derivative of DMCs prior
actual baboon nigger logic.
No clue what you mean by stealth but yes the mob trash enemies aren't fun, I think it's just old age.
Bosses and story is worth it through.
>Every area is a stealth combat arena
Where the fuck did you hear about this?
>Some normal enemies suk
DMC3 enemies are some of the worse of the big action games. There are only two great normal enemies (Abyss, Arachnes), one really shitty one (Soul Eater) and the rest which is meh at best. They still do enough to support the combat system and are more aggressive than the later entries, but they are too simple in their moveset and some of them have obscenes amount of health. Again, this isn't too bad since the combat is more based on aggression and crowd control than evasion, but it's the biggest flaw the game has. Still a 9/10.
Don't lump us all together. Not all of us wanted this to be this way. Just the combofags who screamed the loudest. Taking cues from them left this game with one of the most underwhelming stage designs in the franchise. Some of us were hoping for something more akin to DMC1 while the angry screeching 'combat only' are perfectly happy with just a bunch of rooms to clear.
I just wanted my Resident Evil-like semi-horror atmosphere again
Is that really so much to ask for? Looks like they got everything else to how they want it. Combat is never going to change again, just pyling more on top. The story is... there. How about a little more of that unique atmosphere?
>stealth
How in the where in the fuck did you get that idea?
