Scalpers are the scum of the earth

For the past few years, I've always had to abide by the fact that scalpers make prices absolutely discusting for everyone on the internet. Fair enough, I'll just buy my games irl. Fast forward a couple years, and every single thrift store, flea market, garage sale, and games store buys these games off of people for pennies, and resells them for eBay prices THAT THE LOWLIFE SCALPER SCUM SET. For me, this utter contempt for having to coexist on the same plane of existence as these people came to a boil when I went online to check the price of pokemon black, and saw it being sold for 200 dollars used. Why do these people have to exist?

>being a collector
why do YOU exist
grow the fuck up

>NO THIS GAME CAN'T POSSIBLY BE WORTH $200, I SAID SO

I have the mainline games from Gen3 to Gen5 complete with box and manuals (and pokewalkers), not planning to sell them though.

I sold my copy of Heart Gold w/ Pokewalker for £140. The box was damp since it'd been in the garage for so long. Just buy a chink counterfeit OP

I'm sure it's the scalpers and not Nintendo being notoriously shit at making their games available so that people don't realize they're reselling the same design document ten times in a row

real fans just play games and dont care about plastic bro

Only retards who watch youtube collectors then try to mimic them dont own all the physical games they want by now.

You mean like pirating the game when the prices are that high?

fpbp. Stop being a plastic collecting manchild retard

>provide absolutely no service/product, just resells existing products with nothing changed, nothing improved
>act as if they have a real job
Scalpers are everything wrong with captialism, inb4
>dude we need communism instead
Just a different side of the coin, we need the third way.

>muh scalpers
ebay seller here.
the pokemon fanbase is massive, and covid made collecting/hoarding huge randomly.
people are actually buying the games at $200+ just to sit on their fucking shelf.
I sold heart gold for $300 in perfect condition with pokewalker and even the preorder figure.

It kinda comes down to pokemon fanbase constantly expanding every gen and everyone realizing the current games suck and wanting to try the older ones....without emulating them for whatever reason.

Selling an old game for market price is not "scalping" retard. also just emulate it

That is happening because an auction house owner and his buddy who founded a game rating company are inflating the prices of the market so him and other speculative investors can cash in. That Super Mario game that was the most expensive one ever bought that kicked this whole crazy off was literally just him buying it and reselling it at slightly higher prices.
It's the Beanie Baby bubble all over again, hilariously enough it's the same guys doing it.

People are assholes. Get a cheapo r4 or Twilight Menu if you feel the need to play on hardware because there's no winning the stupid game of trying to get a retail cart.

God damn I hate physicalfags so much, you could easily emulate the game right now, but instead you need to broadcast to the entire world how integral it is for you to own a small piece of plastic.

emulate, bro

Play PokeMMO instead, it's the gba and ds games, but online and you can travel bewteen regions, battle anyone walking around etc etc

>mfw collector but bought all the pokemon games when i was a kid
>got chrono trigger ds fro like $20 back in the day
feels good

They were practically giving copies of black and white away a few years ago.

I can sell it to you for 180.

Yeah, whoever didnt buy it back then is just buying into the collector fad of the past couple years

The 3DS games are only going to get more expensive now. Sucks that I never got IVA.
