Yeah, you just have to put it on a low setting or you will probably burn them-- try out setting 2
it takes a while for it to heat to full power, but when you hear it start sizzling it'll start to cook-- however, sausages must all be put on individual burners for them all to cook, whereas you can stack as many fish as you want and they'll all cook through eachother
