DS3 gets hate because of the unfinished state and drab colour palette. Bloodborne although short was very consistent in it's theme.
Mechanically though DS3 is the most superior in terms of boss lineup and combat in DS1-3 and ER.

ER bosses are bullshit though. The mob enemies and field bosses are fun but the story bosses are too fast to make the mechanics enjoyable.
