Same world design, stuff drops on death so you have to go pick it back up, same healing system and upgrades. The tools and arts aren't as good as they should be and are limited to spirit emblems, plus the bad choice of having only one art and having to switch in a pause menu. Because of the spirit emblems you'll just ultimately fall back on deflections and this is the core of the combat. The game has to be balanced around the base skills as arts and tools are hidden around so not every player will gain them.
