Arcanum is definitely an open world game. You can travel between settlements without ever fast traveling. It's just stupid to do that because it will take way too long to get to where you want to go.

I used to like open world games quite a lot when i was younger, during the Skyrim era

then i tried playing AC origins and Witcher 3, never again, it was just a chore to see all this stuff in the map and having to do them
