Rhythm Games

Does Any Forums play rhythm games? Why aren't there more games they're fun

I play Muse Dash sometimes, it's pretty fun. I wish it was either less lewd or full-on porn though.

Rhythm games were a short lived fad in the states that relied on specialty controllers that were expensive, and the states determine sales. Companies won't make games that don't sell.

I like Project Diva.

I miss story based rhythm games like Parappa, Gitarooman, Elite Beat Agents and so on, arcadey ones just make me feel empty.

>create 10/10 femdom bait skin
>give it a fucking training wheels ability so I can't use it
I will never not be mad

There are only 3 outfits that matter if youre doing anything for score. All others are just filler for people who aren't autistic about score optimization.

Rhythm games are one of my favourite genres, Project Diva and Rhythm Heaven are my go-tos when I feel like having a good time but I've been thinking of trying Vib-Ribbon.
Isn't it only fitting, then? It adds to the humiliation

Should I create an account to upload scores or is that chinese bait

Anyone play Beat Souls? Gameplay was pretty cool but the music was as generic as it gets so I don't want to bother getting any better.

I'm terrible at rythym games but I like the simpler ones like Muse Dash and EBA. Project Diva is fun as well but it's too hard for me. Also witnessed.

Play SDVX

I use exclusively Neko without healing assists so I can be forced to git gud. I'd use Devil Marija but it makes it a chore to keep record of my percentage. Also Neko is very cute.

I hate that you're not wrong, but there's also the fact that a lot of people are either tone deaf, don't like to put effort on higher difficulties, or both. Then comes the issue with overpriced DLC.

Not needed unless you want to try getting into the Top 10 so you can see your name, but then you're forced to 100% songs with Devil Marija.

Has anyone else made a game like Necrodancer? Something like a rhythm game disguised as an action game sounds like it could be interesting

There's that fps game, Bullets Per Minute I believe it was?

>don't like to put effort on higher difficulties
Watching friends play Future Tone is something else.
They'll automatically go to switch the difficulty to easy and still won't change it when I say there's only one button to press and it's no fun.
Anything over 8* EX kicks my ass though, so I still have room to git gud.

Autorunners like Bit.Trip RUNNER and Geometry Dash are rhythm platformers.
BPM: Bullets Per Minute is an FPS with crypt of the necrodancer tempo keeping.
I'm sure people will make more, the question is what genre will get meshed with it next.

Any new mobile rhythm games you'd recommend? I was playing Colorful Tone but got bored of it and ended uninstalling it.

Muse Dash is pretty fun, maybe I should actually pick up the DLC.

You should, is almost 300 songs and the recent collabs have a ton of really good music.

i play miku and taiko on switch
im really missing rock band (drums) right now though
groovecoaster looks good but is too expensive

I love Beatmania but I'm stuck trying to break into level 7, i'm feeling limited by my hand position (left on 1-3, right on 4-7) and being unable to hit the scratch without taking my hands out of position. At the same time, I've seen more than a few people say they've fucked up their hands from pinky scratching, and I'm not sure if I'm willing to go that far for a simple pass time

I really want the Touhou ones even if I'm not a huge fan. Guess I'm waiting for the next sale then.
