not really,its movement can shine (though sprint over a faster movement speed is not ideal for a game like titanfall),but its enemy encounters leave alot to be desired,being mostly dumb humans (why has no-one outdone the original FEAR yet?)

Those are good, though not the peak of the genre. Halo: MCC has good games in it, but the good ones came out in the 2000s.
The genre actually peaked with Far Cry (2004), Crysis (2007) and Rust (2013)
