Pretty sure there are more heroes and maps in the final release, just that the beta only has only one new one that we've already seen, because they don't want to spoil/want people to focus on the hero reworks.
But who cares, this shit ain't gonna revive OW for more than a few months.
Not everything included in OW2 is going to be in the first beta dummy. Not everything is going to be shown until the game is about to drop.

If you look at just that it makes no sense, but when you take a step back and realise that OW2 was revealed as damage control for the Hong Kong bullshit when they had nothing actually done, then the company just straight up caught fire and devoured itself, it's no wonder there's been no actual work done. Blizzard has been dead for a long time and Activision stopped being able to make the corpse twitch.

They were working on the PvE portion of OW2 for a while. It's why most of the events were recycled bullshit with some skins tacked on.

Idiots always try to compare Overwatch to games that have free play systems or subscription based systems.
Overwatch doesn't have that type of system and it's stupid to think that just because you paid $40 a few years ago you should be getting everything for free forever.
When other games like Hitman or Call of Duty or FIFA release sequels they stop releasing content for the previous game.
OverWatch has a similar system to those games not to the games that people want to compare Overwatch to.
