Elden Ring Lorelet takes

>Lord of Frenzied Flame, I will seek you as far as you may travel
>To deliver you what is yours
>Destined death

>The apostles, once said to serve Destined Death, are wielders of the god-slaying black flame. But after their defeat by Maliketh, the Black Blade, the source of their power was sealed away.

>Sacred sword of the Dusk-Eyed Queen who controlled the Godskin Apostles before her defeat at the hands of Maliketh.

>The Gloam-Eyed Queen cradles newborn apostles swaddled in this cloth. Soon they will grow to become the death of the gods

Could Melina actually be the Dusk/Gloam-Eyed Queen? The previous owner and wielder of the destined death, before Marika sicced her dog at her and had it sealed away?
The Gloam-Eyed Queen was a competitor goddess who got defeated by Marika's version of Blaidd and locked out of the Lands Between in result, her dominion (rune) stolen from her and sealed.
Melina says several times that she was observing the Lands Between for a very long time. While she doesn't state whether she was observing them from the inside or outside, you could argue she means from outside of the Lands Between.
What's a major hole in this however is that she offers herself as kindling for the fire that will burn the tree if you don't follow the Frenzied Flame ending, but then it might as well be her revenge plot somewhat... or after unsealing the Destined Death she'll be back at god levels so becoming kindling doesn't truly matter that much?

Who was the kindling maiden that once owned the Blade of Calling?

There's actually a chance it was her or Marika, because Marika is Numen and all Black Knife assassins are Numen, and the weapon art looks suspiciously similar.
Black Knife dagger also looks bit like this one, except twisted by the rune of death.

>Could Melina actually be the Dusk/Gloam-Eyed Queen?
Does anything in the game imply that is who she is directly?
If there is only evidence to support that its not outright denied that is who she is, its very shoddy theory based on no real evidence.

>save melina
>she hates you

1. She's been around for a very long time, observing the Lands Between
2. In the Frenzied Flame ending she vows to deliver Destined Death to you, this was the domain of the Dusk-Eyed Queen
3. Her left eye in this ending looks like a starry sky, thus "gloam" or "dusk"
4. Dusk/Gloam-Eyed Queen held or served Destined Death until Maliketh defeated her, took the rune away and sealed it on Marika's orders
5. Melina only reappears to get in touch with the Tarnished after Ranni steals the Rune of Death (Destined Death) and fucks shit with it.
Yes, the evidence is shoddy as shit but if you squint hard enough you can come to a conclusion that Melina was watching the Lands Between from the outside after getting locked out when Maliketh bit her ass and took her stuff, and after Ranni somewhat unsealed the Rune and Marika broke the ring she managed to project herself back in.

I think a more important thing to consider is what the mark of the Three Fingers connects her to.

She's set to EQUALIZE you after you do the 3finger ending so it's more of a crow tattoo, and apart from Odin vibes crow symbolises destiny somewhat inevitability, so if you want it to fit the entire "deposed death goddess" shtick you can stretch it to Destined Death.

The game ended up not doing anything with Miquella's needle but what would her reaction to you taming the frenzied flame be?

Surprise I bet, or maybe her becoming kindling was somehow important in the Grand Scheme of Things so she'd still vow to kill you.
It's actually real awful that From made these obscure miniquests like Aurelia's quest and somehow didn't stop and think what should happen if you get Miquella's needle, burn the Erdtree and unfrenzy yourself.

None of this is directly implying she is the queen, rather its precisley the type of "its plausible"
You could make the case that Melina is the gloamy eyed queen similarly, there is nothing outright denying that she isnt the queen after all.

the opened right eye seems to strongly imply that's who she is. Also the three fingers tat on her eye may have been done with marikas blessing to seal away her original memories and abilities. She does mention not being able to remember anything but being burned at the erdtree.

Yes it's really weak and very circumstantial, hinging almost solely on how all the Destined Death history lore works when you keep the frenzied flame Melina ending in mind.
It's like, this is incredibly ancient history which also isn't exactly something Greater Will and Marika would want to mention, such as there being competing gods or the fact that wielders of the powers derived from Destined Death being able to actually kill gods (godskins aren't just bragging or a meme, by all the available lore their black flame is a god killing technique that actually worked when their Queen held Destined Death still). And judging by how the Fingers behave (and thus what GW wants) the general idea is that noone should consider that there might be anything other than the Erdtree system - Elden Lords change, entire reality rulesets get shattered but the tree still stands and GW wants you to never think that maybe it wasn't always there.

I also wonder how she would react to Ranni and her ending.
Ranni herself doesn't react to you having the frenzied flame at any moment.

So, in non-frenzy endings all she knows is that she once burned thus she could become kindling again, and in frenzied flame ending she gets back at least some part of her old self?

How does Melina talking about her "mother in the Erdtree" tie into this?

Greater Will/Elden Beast maybe?

Makes more sense for it to just be Marika, because Marika is locked in the Erdtree and Melina offers a lot of loredumps on Marika in sites related to her (Churches of Marika, and other churches, and the Queen's Bedchambers).

So they extincted the giants because they can burn down the Erdtree?

no idea, I don't think so tho. She seems more autistically malding about not letting her be burned which in her rage activated her dusk eye, which might just be a hint to who she used to be. If she's dlc tho, I don't think it'd be an ending thing as it'd make frenzy ending canon, it'd probably be more like going back in time and being the one who beat her as the queen of death and malikath taking the credit or some shit.

Yes. They could harm the Erdtree so they had to die.

it doesn't matter game is unfinished you never get the answer

Chaos ending is retarded anyways, you literally fell for the jewish tricks. Age of Stars is the only truly interesting one lorewise.

Melina looks very badass with her hair like this, I hope we get a MGR style sequel where you play as her

What's the deal with the planet/moon thing in the sky? I thought it'll have some big implication to the story considering its the second biggest visual object we see in the skybox other than the Erdtree throughout the game, but nothing happen much in it.
