Mechanicus, bud. Turn based combat, research tree, risk/reward stuff. By default it's a bit too forgiving, but difficulty is super customizable if you want to be really hardcore.

I played Mechanicus through three times, and I want to like it much more than I do, but I keep getting disappointed.
It's a solid 7 out of 10, maybe 8, but with a little more polish and testing it could have been great.

Games Workshop intentionally makes sure every WH40k game is either merely okay or shit. They do it because they see the games as just free advertising for their figurines. They temp you with the idea of a great setting and then say "That'll be $159.95 plus tip, don't forget to buy some paint!"

bmm is good but expensive, I've used wtable recently and had mediocre results, but it was shipped pretty quickly, piratecountry is good too but shipping is expensive
