>Buy VR headset
>Use it a few times, enjoy it
>Never touch it again
This is the norm, right?
Buy VR headset
in the same boat. however, i intend on using it more as soon as i update my gpu so i can play pcvr on it properly. amd cards fucking suck for the quest 2 since they are horrible at video encoding and decoding.
yes. Have not used mine once this year. Maybe i jacked off with it once, i cant remember
has less games than the ps5
>Buy VR headset
>Look at it
>Know there's tons of games
>Just don't wanna stand up after standing at work all day
I just wanna play some minigolf man.
Kinda. I usually only put on my VR headset when there's an update to VaM or BeatSaber
>buy VR headset
>look around my wagecuck no credit rental apartment
>too tiny for VR
>doesnt help im 6ft 4
>have back problems
god damn I wish I didnt live in a sardine can
Don't get too excited, the same thing happens a couple weeks after you pop that cord in.
I keep mine handy in case friends want to play but unfortunately I'm a fatass and it tires me out super fast
I've gotten my moneys worth.
In terms of "normal" games it has been pretty disappointing though.
I use mine for Thrill of the Fight and H3VR daily. But it really needs some more substantial games that are actually good.
I use mine to jack off mostly
for a Normie, I guess.
>Buy quest 2
>Already a massive alcoholic for a few years
>Only use it for drunken VRChat
>Doctor tells me to stop drinking everyday, and take a big break from booze
>Actually finally manage to stop drinking
>No use for my headset anymore
>last notable VR game was RE4
>nothing else coming soon
Worth it?
I only use it for porn occasionally
Alyx was the only actually good VR game and nothing else comes even remotely close
What about Boneworks?
it's cool but it's more of a janky tech demo than an actual game
>New VR game/Update comes out
>Dust off my headset that's been collecting dust for 3-4 months
>Have an absolute blast for a week
>"WHY'D I QUIT PLAYING THIS!?"
>Go to see what games have come out since I last played
>Sword Waggle sandbox
>Gun shoot range
>two hour puzzle game
>half baked animal crossing/harvest moon clone with zero soul or depth
>shitty rhythm game trying to be beatsaber without custom content support
Rinse and Repeat. I will say not having a cord has made me pick it up more frequently, but god damn talk about a stagnant market. The most exciting to come out recently is a 17 year old gamecube game and a fucking alpha demo of an MMO. Here's to hoping they don't fuck up San Andreas AGAIN so I have something with content and replay value one day.
>oculus home menu still shows off the same featured games it did years ago
really makes me sad, back when I got it and first experienced vr I was blown away and really hopeful for the future of it
How are these games? I never bought into the hype of FNAF.
I just played Beat Saber with it last night. Some songs clicks while others not. I just wonder if it is an Oculus/PCVR thing.
I just tried one of the Varjo's headsets. The difference to consumer products is huge and now I don't feel like using my quest anymore. It's so much behind.
Beat Saber is very shitty, I don't get the love people have for it.
nah I'm jacking off to some vr porn at least once a week shit's cash
it's mostly a workout machine for me. TotF and PowerBeats VR and sometimes Pistol Whip nowadays
Also play rythm games like synth riders and audio trip
Played RE4 and Alyx on the Quest 2 with VD
Haven't really played shooters much besides those two
>Buy mine
>be hyped
>unit gets hit by a weird tracking problem so I can't play
>try to fix it forever
>slowly losing interest
Oh, so that was it.
I mean I like the games, but this error made me realize I didn't need to play them and I am losing all interest.
Just like every other cumbersome novelty toy.
I mean, the time I managed to use mine it WAS very fun, but it's plagued by nonsense problem, like the tracking problem I mentioned in my post.
It legit makes things more fun.
the jank in boneworks is off the fucking charts, I tried to continue the campaign last night
>immediately disoriented by the slowly accelerating and decelerating character controller
>try to climb a ladder but instead it pulls an entire wall down
>step on a platform and it collapses
>grab some steel beams and try to climb across to the other side
>body starts twisting inside the level geometry
>right hand pulls me across but left hand doesn't
>camera starts getting pulled into the metal beams
>try to grab the beam right near my face but smack the controller into my headset
>reach other side
>quit game
no thanks
consider VR ports
