Loving ER, but BotW was definitely better imo. ER is basically inferior to Sekiro gameplay wise and inferior to BotW openworld exploration wise, but it's a masterful game that deserves praise.

Elden Ring proved that you could design an open world game with a ton of freedom but still have structure, unique rewards, challenge, good worldbuilding, distinct biomes, and a strong soundtrack.
So if anything BotW fanboys should be very worried if BotW2 ends up being a rehash. The novelty and branding won't work a second time, it will be considered outdated.
