It's not better, quit kidding your selves. It is just boring uninspired generic high fantasy, the overworld and quests are pitiful, the gameplay is braindead button mashing and spamming one overpowered ability over and over and spamming consumables from a menu. The only modicum of challenging and rewarding gameplay is the later half of BBI and even that becomes mind numbingly easy once you get a tier 2 weapon.

That's definitely one thing I'd want them to improve in a sequel, the healing was pretty shit in this. The re-release added hotkeys for using items, but that was pretty stupis too since you still had to carry like 100 grass anyway. And it was really lame just spamming a button to insta-heal or to get stamina while you're hanging on an enemy or something. Something Souls-esque would be much better. Maybe something like Hollow Knight, you get mana from hitting enemies, and then you can use that to heal yourself. Wouldn't need to buy a bunch of items and it would force you to still be aggressive if you want to heal
