When will PC games actually be optimized for SSDs?

When will PC games actually be optimized for SSDs?

After playing PS5 games I find load times over 5 seconds painful, and it's infuriating that better hardware loads slower than consoles.

Ps5 has better hardware than PC

and you have brain damage like every console nigger
stop posting

Directstorage API released today so maybe this or next year.

Idk the last PC game I played with load time problems other than Halo Infinite.

not until it's worthwhile. only like 5% of pc users have beefy enough hardware to bruteforce gpu uncompression. so it's either cater to those 5% and rest will suffer. and they are going for the money so 95% will take the priority

When they stop receiving ps4/xbone releases

Not my pc

That's goodbye to hear, a shame to hear it's still a bit off.

Almost all PC games have 15+ second load times, which are insufferable.

If the PS5 which has the equivalent of a 2070 Super can do it, I imagine most first world PC gamers have comparable hardware.

GPUs are becoming common again, I just walked into microcenter and picked up a 3070.

Yeah just relax faggot

Can you pick me one up?

hey buddy, did you blow in from stupid town?

did they fix the horrible network/update performance on ps5?
it took like 16 hours to download gt7 on my ps4 and my internet isnt slow either, the damn console maxes out at 40mbps when my internet is 730

How much?

My pc likely losds faster than ur ps5 because idk what ur talking about

bros, how much time does this thing have left?
I'm going to upgrade anyway this month because I need more space, but can you use these things all the way down to 0% without failure?

The annoying thing is that first party games like GT7 and Horizon FW load so much faster than most third party PS5 native games. Only Sony is using the hardware properly here.

You have fried your brain with all that dopamine. Get help.
I have a NVME and load times are fine for me

Depends on how much you write (blocks erased), how old is the drive, user? Also, you won't lose your data, it'll just go into read-only mode eventually.

MSRP

Bullshit. Show receipt with time stamp.

Even third party games(with the exception of some last gen ports like GTA) usually load within 5 seconds at worst.

I have one from almost 10 years ago and it's still choching.

I am glad mobos come with so many NVME slots now, cable management is easier without them.

Not enough, and lots of games still have 10-20 second load times.

Games like GT7 and Horizon Forbidden West are the standard. They load like N64 titles. It is incredible after playing vidya for decades with load time.

Is it going to be available for windows 10 like they promised or they're going to Jew out and force me install windows 11
