I killed these on my first try. You're just shit at the game.

just cure your poison

Idk the one gargoyle was extremely passive when I fought them and if you just keep back up the poison never hits you

dude just summon on when the second one appears

I killed the first one with comet azur before the second one even spawned.

I don’t have any Neutralizing Boluses.
The second one isn’t passive for me at all, it’s constantly doing some whirlwind attack at me.
I’m not using summons.
I know.

I killed the first one before the second one could get to me. git gud

what actually sucks is the buildup does damage
fuckign hell

Honestly the only bullshit about the fight is the absolutely fuckhuge AoE on the poison vomit

>Complain about bs boss that does bs thing
>user suggests you use bs mechanic to out-bs boss
>"No bro"

???

I summoned and abused blood slash

i hate the twinblade’s poison aoe more
took me a good number of tries, especially with a longsword.
some attacks will just whiff in between its legs.
but once the sword fucker is dead the twinblade gargoyle is ez pz

lemme guess, dex/int?

git gud

The second gargoyle was passive for me as well. The poison thing seems to be a way to slow them down too. Compare it to regular gargoyles in Capital or the black ones who constantly jump all over the fucking place.

Elden ring has more 'that fights' than the rest of the series has combined
It's like being forced to pad content out in an open world threw all notions of good boss design out the window

git gud

>bloodfang
get some originality please

Yeah man, and also the poison is like fire, so it does repeated aoe damage.
I think the point is that you have to watch the tells of the gargoyle you're fighting, plus the background. The gargoyle in the back won't be swinging at you while the other one is if you know what I mean.
One thing I thought was cool, the AI seemed to try to make it so that the one gargoyle with lower health got behind the other as like a defensive measure.
I thought this one was cool, they're slow enough that you can focus on the one you're fighting and the poison aoe at the same time. Plus DS1 "oh of course there would be 2" moment the first attempt. Not the worst in the game.

Same. Gargoyle's moveset is really easy to dodge except Twinblades. The other 3 weapons are baby mode to learn.
