Lost Ark

It's not dead. the developers actively encourage you to play other things between patches. this is the norm

Maybe it's your server

nah. Lost ark is FotM

10 more years pso2 cuck

Tranny game that's why

this is an xiv thread user the wow thread is down the hallway

If you aren't Savage raiding what is there to do? Cap tomes every week? Is that worth $13 a month?

Real answer: downtime between major patches has always made the game feel like a ghost town, but the absence of a grind area or activity for this expansion (deep dungeon/eureka/bozja/ishgard restoration/ocean fishing) means that a lot of the people who do have an active subscription don't have much of a reason to even log in.

Any Forums is going to lose it's mind when EW sweeps The TGAs

People finished the story.
I'll resub when they add more story.

Or are you telling me that theres losers out there who play games after finishing the story?

It isn't dead, but it has been in a content drought for a while.
People are playing other games and the devs are fine with that.
After leveling DoL/DoH jobs, hoarding gil, doing some sidequests, grinding the gold saucer, doing higher difficulty content and farming mounts there is little else to to do.
In the past one of WoWs advantages was the amount of side content and grinds they added, which eventually added up to quite a mountain of older content to do in downtime and even made expansions like WoD bearable.

I've enjoyed the story and the music for a good 6 years, but EW was fine as a quiting point as I realized I was getting tired of the 10 years old stale tab target gameplay which I didn't even enjoy to begin with. Kinda wish the next FF MMO would try and have something closer to Stranger of Paradise gameplay wise.

This game is mostly carried by its lore and music, the visuals are severely outdated and the graphics update will only barely improve on them, and the gameplay certainly isn't anything to write home about.
So once you're done with the story, really, it doesn't have much else going on for it. I mean sure, you could stick around and keep doing the same simon says boss fights every week, along with the theme ride tier dungeons where you spam your 3 AoE spells over and over for 15mins with a bunch of people you don't care about, don't need to talk to and won't ever meet again so you can work towards unlocking your next +0.01% stat upgrade, but I've been doing that years in this game and I'm over it.

Frankly I'd rather play a more engaging game now.

I see that you started to dress up your schizo ramblings in "Oh I used to enjoy BUT"

Content lull between patches
This happens literally every patch, and you retards start saying it's dead every time, and then the patch drops and the game is more populated than ever

people left to go play GW2 the superior MMO

it was always dead
less people played shb or ew than played octopath travellers

meds, now.

>Why did it die?
They didn't let me breed Venat

>see constant posts on Any Forums about how dead XIV is
>log on
>still dozens of players flitting about cities and shit at all times of the day
>still 200+ PFs on Tuesdays
Ii don't understand

I am so sick of teleporting from one location to another just to advance the quest.

I see your Stockholm Syndrome is in full force.

There aren't 10k person queues to get in anymore and they want to shitpost

Then just walk? Or would you rather all quests took you where you needed to go and the only requirement to progress was pressing one button to advance text?

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Why do people who started playing in 5.2 or later pretend they were around during 5.0?
