dark souls 3/bloodbourne already did the delays and dark souls 1/2 instead just had hitboxes so bad you would physically roll away from a move and get grabbed aynway

there are input reads, but they dont work the way they do in your picture. delayed attacks dont change timing.

That's not how the AI reads inputs, enemy's delayed attack rarely if at all vary during fights.

delay attacks? it's just muscle memory, you simply have to react.

with each game they got more and more annoying with this shit, the delays on top of delays and feints on top of feints and shit, not to mention the input reading...

No such thing. They simply react according to your actions. If you're gonna use an item or use spells from a distance, they'll do an attack to counter you or close that distance. If they use an attack they can hold, they will hold it as long as you aren't in front of their hitbox, which is what YOU are supposed to read so you can take advantage of the boss holding their attack.
