thats just soviet zerg rush doctrine, they dont really give a fuck about cook offs. even if the ammo carousel wasnt designed to throw the turret like that, a shot that wouldve done that would also knock out the tank anyway. a dead crew and an out of action crew meant the same thing in a seven days to the rhine kind of operation, so why bother.
