Wtf is the input buffering in this game?
I thought this was supposed to a serious action game not janky casual trash.
Wtf is the input buffering in this game?

Stop fucking mashing
Git gu-
>rolls into a wall because lock on is dog shit

Fuck off esl trash
seethe
Fuckin pussy button masher detected lmao
keep hittin that dodge button boi it will definitely help you time those hits
The buffer has been in ever souls game on both PC and console.
Intended. Stop mashing and plan out your attacks.
Yes I am genuinely upset. This game fucking sucks. I don’t want to fucking farm for 30 hours so I can kill normal mobs in the next story area
Have you considered getting better at the game?
The holy trinity of cancer
git gud
This is my first souls game. What exactly does getting good entail? I don’t want to sit around and wait four decades for the enemy to make a fucking move. By then I’m getting swarmed which leads me to the shitty camera issue again
>but it’s always been like that
I don’t fucking care
>this is my first souls game
Hahahaha yeah git gud dude
There's no dodge cancelling and enemies read your inputs, so you get punished constantly. You can't read giant enemies when you're close to them and the chain attacks can be near constant. You're punished with stamina, the enemies are not. Its not casual by any means but it is poorly designed trash elevated by braindead fanboys.
I just beat Mogh earlier today and I'm reminded that I would have had more fun as a cheese caster. This game was clearly balanced around them.
>git gud
I accept your concession. Fucking idiot
The buffer can be worked around, but I swear the game is eating my inputs occasionally, which is really dangerous in combination with the input buffer, since I generally don't press the button again even if the action doesn't come out immediately.
It lost me a bunch of souls to this earlier today, thanks to my estus not coming out at all.
This is on PC, and it's not a common issue, but it has happened more than a few times over 70hs of playtime.
It works a little bit differently in every Souls game and getting used to it for the first couple hours is just part of the fun
t. literally consneeding to the game because it's too hard for him
This is my first soulsborne game and your critiques are retarded
>enemies read your inputs
incredibly fucking retarded thing people keep saying
it's just a state machine thing like every souls game, but they tuned the reaction time really low
they didn't do that accidentally and you can argue how much you like them punishing tard tactics, but it's not "input reading"
>but I swear the game is eating my inputs occasionally
It happens when you have sudden FPS drops. Try lowering your graphic settings.
that's just fucking heinous, indefensible.
This happened a lot to me, also on PC
Pretty sure its related to performance and forced fps lock. After unlocking it started feeling much better.
There's a ton of proof on the input reading posted in video form. I neither respect you enough to bother nor do I have to prove anything to you when its all out there. I'm arguing with a wall at that point.
>enemies kill you in 2 hits
why yes I have 9 vit and act like my opinion matters
>enemy punishes you when you try heal
>DEY WEAD MUH IMPOOTS
yes dipshits
you didn't understand my reply
look up what a state machine is
look up dark souls decompilation tools and how it handles events
they made a design decision to dicincentivise certain playstyles, which you are free to debate the merit of, but you completely undermine yourself when you say something retarded like "input reading" because that's not where it's happening and not what is happening
In DS1 and DS2 enemies reacted to your position and what you were doing (for example holding shield), not to what button you pressed.
In ER pressing flask instantly triggers attack before your drinking animation even starts. Same for casting any spell.
