Unironically make an alternate happy ending for Ellie. It makes no sense that she saves Abbie but then proceeds to get punished by losing her fingers and jew gf. They should have made it that if you choose to not kill Abbie she doesnt lose her fingers and she gets to go home to jew gf. And if you kill Abbie she gets the ending we got.

They'd want the story to be as generic and predictable as possible because they're brainlets.

I'd still kill off Joel, but near the end of the game so it could have proper build up not some LOL EBIN SHOCKING DEATH. Also I wouldn't do it in a way that completely disrespects the character.

They should have had Joel killed by dina because ellie loved him more than her or something. That would have been way more realistic and better

By the time Joel comes back Ellie is missing & you have to go looking for her

I would kill off all women, specially the dykes. And make the protagonist a cute gay 16 year old boy that finds Joel all depressed and sad and he nurses him back to health and starts calling Joel daddy and they both fall in love and fuck and get married and live happy ever after.

remove the follow-up of the TLOU1 ending. This doesn't need to be about the fire flies and Joel's decision. That's a past arc and it can stay for itself.
Make an entire new story, even with Joel and Elly if you really need to. Anything's better than riding on what the first game did

Pretty much everything surrounding the circumstances of Joel's death is totally fucking retarded, either give Abby some hesitance in killing him (she experiences firsthand that Joel is not a bad sort) or do away with the whole idea, yes I am aware doing away with Joel's death negates the entire story, this is not a bad thing

Retconning the Fireflies surgeon's race so that Abby wouldn't be a darker-skinned villain was hilarious, keep that in, I like that, it's so open-facedly shameless

I love revenge stories but I don't like revenge stories where you're not committed, I could have forgiven all the BS is she actually went through with taking revenge or was even killed by Abby.

End of TLOU they were pretty ghetto and depicted as violent and weird. The doctors lab where they were gonna butcher Ellie looked dirty and crazy. Which is fine, but in this game the Fireflies are a bunch of dindus who had very clean everything and are depicted better. You can have the exact story and just present the fireflies as they were in the previous game aka weird and dirty, and the story would work just fine and would probably illustrate moral grayness better

I mean the entire ending was completely retarded. Thank goodness the people that kidnapped Abby and strung her up because....they are le crazy I guess? Ellie should have been realistically huffing adrenaline and murdered Abby at that point. Ellie has already murdered a thousand people to get to this point so changing her mind on a whim is dangerous and also stupid and not believable. I also feel like it serves the story and theme better if Ellie actually goes through with it and doesn't feel any better at the end, or set up some other angry person that now wants to kill Ellie because of Abbys death. Instead, she decides now is the perfect time to stop genociding people and fuck off back home, even though she had 100 points to do so before this point in the story

This. One simple change would fix the story of TLOU2 and that's having one of them actually kill the other in the final confrontation.

It should've had nothing to do with Joel and Ellie at all. They should've introduced completely new characters that would end up meeting up with Joel and Ellie in TLOU3
