It was supposed to be a blitz attack type of scenario but their logistics was founded on maps that didn't take into account scenarios such as forests being cut down by illegal logging. The battalion that was supposed to support the main force in taking Kyiv was quagmired by the Ukrainian forces that were stationed at Chernobyl, and now they're doing a quasi siege where they're trying to choke out the supplies of those in the city, but they're also dealing with expiring rations and lowering morale because of that.

All those memes about incompetent Russian military turned out to be more truth than joke. Fighting Russia is always numbers game, centered around not getting stuck in the cold with their numerous troops who are too drunk and depressed to care if they die.

No. They haven't even captured every city and have amassed quite the losses. We took so long because of the size of Iraq and the moving of weapons. Russia had all their weapons in place and blew it. So how they have a protracted war not on top of the guerilla warfare they'll have to deal with if they stay. This is an extremely sloppy and poor showing of their army.

Iraq war was over in less than 3 days, US forces weren't still shelling Iraq cities for weeks afterward.

It was delayed in Europe and Japan.

In Japan it was delayed so long it was bundled with AW2 (which was also delayed because of Iraq War starting).

Nintendo will just reskin the game as a Fire Emblem game and replace all the units so they can actually sell it and not worry about other countries blowing each other up.
