Firstperson Platformers

Alright, lads, let's get a big recommendation list of the best firstperson platforming games out there, bonus points for nicheness and oldness.
These games MAY include combat, but ideally combat will not be the main focus of the games in questions:
>Jumping Flash!
>Dying Light
>Mirror's Edge
>Far Cry 3
>Serious Sam
>Portal
>Half-Life
>Metroid Prime
>Prey (original)
>Turok

This is just as retarded as a "2D Shooter"

You're a bit of a retard, aren't you.

I've been meaning to replay it for years.

Clustertruck

Duke Nukem 3D is one of my favorite games. Mirror's Edge has probably the best platforming since that's the focus of the game. Both Portals also have good platforming and the co-op in 2 is pretty good.

You already mentioned those games. What you didn't mention is Shadow Warrior (1) which is basically DN3D but I am sure you played it too.

I haven't, I'll check it out. I created the thread for firstperson platformer recommendations since it seems to be such a niche genre, yet it's become handsdown my favorite type of game.

There is also Ion Fury which is a recent game built on the DN3D engine and some say it's a spiritual successor of DN3D. I have not played it yet so I don't know if it's good but it looks fun.

Nice, I'm seeing there are quite a lot of recent and older Steam games that are firstperson platformer heavy.
I'm actually surprised how many PlayStation 1 games went firstperson and incorporated platforming aspects considering the graphical and physical limitations of the console.
N64 seems to have been a great console for older firstperson gems too.
There's a surprising amount of older stuff out there, shame it never really caught on with the mainstream.
King's Field >>> Dork Souls

Another game that comes to mind is Blood (1997).

There's an old football game that's literally in firstperson lmao. I can't believe I found this, I've made threads in the past calling for firstperson sports games as I feel they would be so much rawer and more immersive and satisfying.

I liked Deadcore, Naissancee, Clustertruck, Outward

God even a video game American football is boring.

Damn here I thought platforming were the absolute worst parts of FPS games and here I see people asking for First Person Platformers.

Immortal Redneck

cyberhook

It wasn't my intention but I think the game I've been making would count as a first person platformer. It's also on ice. Sounds awful but I swear it's fun.

Lovely Planet.

Does sound pretty good, I loved slipping and falling and dying in Half-Life on wet surfaces and sliding around ice in RDR2 in firstperson.
As for other firstperson games which aren't combat heavy:
>Subnautica
>The Forest
>Green Hell
>That Subnautica Clone Game Set In Space I Forget the Name Of

Looks fun, reminds me of that old South Park firstperson game.

All sports are boring and if you find them entertaining you are retard

Soccer is like 1000x more boring than any major American sport and I say that as a bongscum europoor.
