I've seen people say that any SMT protag would cream the Persona protags. How true is this? How much stronger are they, and why?

personally I think minato, tatsuya and maya would have a fighting chance with one of the smt protagonists

nu-persona protags can't use their powers outside specific conditions, don't have real guns, and don't have real monsters.

I think aleph is stronger than literally any character in the megaten franchise

Outside of Tatsuya and maybe Maya, every Persona protag gets mogged. Kazuya for instance is arguably the weakest SMT messiah, but he's defeated the archangels which alone puts him on Joker's level and above Yu and Minato, not to mention he's able to keep up with Stephen, who himself is maybe the single most batshit insane character in all of JRPGs when it comes to power bullshit.
Hard to rank Naoya though, Persona 1 operates on a bit of a different scale than the other games. If you took everything at face value though, he'd actually be the strongest Persona protag.

Endgame SMT protags go "beyond God". They perform virtually impossible feats and manage insane anime level shit. (beating YHVH/Shiva/Ect. is a good few steps above beating a "god")

Endgame Persona, at their strongest, face Nyarlathotep in Persona 2, which is worth a lot more weight then it sounds like and probably the most impressive kill of the Persona cast.
>but Nyx
Death gods are typically mid-game random encounters in mainline.
>Yaldabaoth
Nothing to sneeze at, but still far weaker then most mainline SMT final bosses. In SJ, Yaldabaoth (as Demiurge which are one the same typically) is just a fragment of YHVH.

I'd argue the gap isn't as big as people claim. It would depend on the strength of the actual demons vs the personas as we don't have a proper metric aside how strong some demons are in mainline. I also admit I know nothing about Azathoth in P5R, I didn't play it. If it's full-on the actual Azathoth that would close the gap here pretty quick but I am too lazy find out.

God I love all the persona gay porn.

Minato sure as fuck wouldn't.

A lot of it is needless chest beating and cope from the SMT side.
>our games don't sell as much and aren't nearly as relevant to gaming as Persona, but our protags deal with bigger threats

Anyway I've always thought the main deal especially with the newer games was like P4, and 5 was that they needed specific parameters in place in order summon just one demon/persona at a time.
Isn't Minato the strongest of the nusona twinks because of the universe arcana and armageddon and shit.

No, not really. The World is never explained and as far as we know its only capabilities are sealing away Nyx and killing its user. Other than that, his only other feats are killing the Masters of Shadow which who gives a fuck. Joker's the srongest either way. Nyx is borderline a midgame SMT enemy and Minato can only seal her away, which also kills him in the process, whereas Joker straight up kills Yaldabaoth no problem, who is pretty much the Demiurge and usually ends up being a late game optional boss for most SMTs.

He can use Fusion Spells on his own.

Listen I ain't seen a persona character beat down a demon with their fists other than akahito

I still have always wanted to see twist in SMT where some character accidentally awakens a Persona (but IRL, like SEES could technically do) and be a Summoner at the same time.
Shit, if it weren't for them shoehorning in "Demon Whispering", that's almost what Flynn/Nanashi might as well have been. I think it'd be a cool fight, maybe keep it for another Devil Summoner game or something.

i'm beginning to think you're retarded

>use the great seal on demi fiend
heh nothing personel
