SiP:FF rewards you by playing it on the higher difficulties. And there is Story mode and "Casual Mode" can you stack on top of that.
If anything SiP:FF makes fun of Journalists. Seeing as there is a Super Easy mode for them.

What if the option for the lesser players is only available if they suck absolute dick at the game and it effectively insults them for having to choose it?

fair difficulty is good.
nu-from difficulty, post ds3, is bad.
a long combo which you need to memorise roll timing or parry timing, is not good difficulty.
endlessly delaying a slice or a grab until you roll so it can catch you is not good difficulty.
keeping an input buffer of your roll, to release the roll as soon as your character recovers, only for the enemy to have a perfectly tuned attack to catch it, is bad difficulty.
dodging 5 hits, to be allowed one hit, to have to play it safe again, is not fun difficulty.
1 dog being able to stunlock you indefinitely if you have a slow weapon, with midgame poise gear of the heaviest armor, is bad difficulty.

Squeenix is basically just an American company at this point.

All the Lower difficulty does it make the enemy attack far less and take more damage. In higher difficulties you get better equipment. New enemies and the enemies full range of attacks.

It's their game. If they want a game designed like that they are free to do so. And I am free to choose the highest difficulty or the lowest.
