Hopefully never? I love Shantae's design, music, and aesthetic, but by god is WayForward absolutely incompetent at making a fun game with replay value (besides River City Girls).
They ALL have that weird lack of polish and barebones aspect to them when playing that feels so cheaply made and seamed that it just ruins the efforts they make with the aesthetic. It's just so hard to describe.
Make Shantae jump to 3D and maybe it'll be the franchise saver.

Aside from 7 Sirens' complete lack of difficulty balancing, I think this feeling mostly comes from completely shitty UI. The dialog box looks like a fucking windows bluescreen. No fancy trim, just cold plain, and soulless.

thank god i'm not the only way who thinks WayForward is a lazy dev company. I fucking hate ducktales, mighty switch force 1 and 2 and half genie hero. those games feel so boring, ducktales is a horrible remastered, I hate the cut scenes, mighty is just turbo autistic speedrunner fanservice and half genie hero too... i hate that i have to save the game every scroll screen aaaaagh!
