Ultimately, was the NCR the most viable way to recreate civilization?

Hard times require harder men and firm rules.

2 > NV > 1 > Tactics > 3 > 4 > 76

not that you faggot zoomers would know considering you havent even played them

This thread is extremely low quality.

76 is better than 4. The story isn't complete garbage.

>Play through 1 deliberately first because everyone says 2 is so better by comparison you can't play them simultaneously
>Play through 2 second
>Love them both, recognize what makes each special, get into roleplaying in 2, still prefer New Vegas
There is a lot of punch to NV that isn't felt by people who aren't familiar with the source material, and I think everyone should at least try their hand at both, but with that being said you're a bitch.

NCR has survived for nearly 100 years, has a population of 100,000 and is only fucking up in the Mojave because the people in charge, Kimball and Oliver, have skewed priorities and unrealistic dreams they seek to realise over all other concerns.

Some would say they've survived

NV is shit

NV is shit, it's literally F3 but with gay characters and reddit writing

2 > 1 > 3 > NV > 4 > 76

>prefer NV
Any Forums has the worst taste in videogames

NV is an objective upgrade to 3 in gameplay, visuals, and writing.

>visuals
Not that guy.
What do you mean here? I don't remember anything nv did visually that was noticeably different.
Actually asking, not trying to be a shithead.

Mostly little things like fixing up some of the shittier Bethesda models, giving actual unique appearances to unique weapons and armor, and an orange tint that's a bit less harsh on the eyes than the green tint.

Ah okay, that's far criticism. Especially the unique weapons, that seemed like such a glaring flaw.

It isn't though. 3 works only because it was designed as a post-apoc sandbox FPS. NV tries to treat the same system as a proper RPG and its an abortion

And no, the writing isn't really better. What exactly is so good about it? Because they picked an ideology for each main group but then didn't flesh it out and left tons of plot holes? It's reddit shit, go read some actual philosophy by someone with an IQ higher than 100

>Has a population of 100,000
Listen here motherfucker, they arrive at already thriving communities and attach themselves like leeches. Subpar protection in exchange for very high taxes, licenses, and all other manner of fees.
They survive because they're a disease.

Going back to 3, you don't realize just how few weapons it actually has after being so used to NV's absolute smorgasbord of guns. There are three shotguns. One (1) SMG.

>OOGA BOOGA WE WUZ THRIVING CIVILIZATIONS N SHIIEET BEFORE DA EVUHL NCR CAME AND BUILT HOSPITALS AND SCHOOLS EVERYWHERE VGH I WISH WE COULD GO BACK TO EATING GIANT COCKROACHES WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN...

>it was designed as a post-apoc sandbox FPS
And yet it has less weapon variety than NV and lacks simple FPS features like aim down sights. NV makes for a better FPS than 3.

>Primm
>Thriving casino town with independent sheriff and trade outpost prior to the events of New Vegas
>Novac
>Equally thriving, equally independent settlement under the protection of the Nevada Rangers prior to the events of New Vegas
>Boulder City was an equally thriving, equally independent city that NCR deliberately destroyed
>New Vegas was built without the NCR and will continue to survive without them running it
Really the only victory the NCR is said to have across the entire course of the fucking game is beating back the Mojave Brotherhood of Steel.
Nevada was doing just fine, with independent trading companies from Arizona, Colorado, and up through Utah.

Good writing for a video game, user.
No one thinks the writing in NV is better than quality literature.

I recently did my first Legion playthrough and I can't go back.

Swap nv and 1 and i agree

What does reddit mean?
