When did you realize that Elden Ring had the best exploration you'd ever experienced in a game?
When did you realize that Elden Ring had the best exploration you'd ever experienced in a game?
When I logged onto the 4channel forum and saw this topic
When I descended the elevator into the kino that was Siofra River
I just randomly found that place, and descended the elevator right before I shut it off for the night. What am I in for?
It's just a short, 3 room dungeon, user was making a joke
>descended the elevator
that's the problem
Probably one of the prettiest areas in the game is a lying faggot
>finding the ancient underground city
>finding the OTHER ancient underground city
>descending into the smoking crater of a giant meteor to see the other half of the ancient underground city i previously couldn't access
>going deeper and deeper underground
>the lake of scarlet aids
>Astel
>Moonlight Altar
>all of this was part of an optional hidden questline
Anyone else like Volcano Manor?
>climb 30 giant ladders
>ooooh wonder what aways me at vOlCaNo MaNoR
>arrive
>"fast travel to limgrave and kill this one easy dude"
>"well done, here's you're reward"
What's the point of all these locations if there's nothing to do?
>he didn’t find the secret wall that expands the size of the area by tenfold
I loved Liurnia.
Yes it's edgy kino
>trudging through that slog to fight a recycled boss
he didn't miss much
Volcano Manor is comfy as fuck. I wish you could join them and get a different ending, or use it as your hub.
Is Liurna peak /comfy/?
Pretty environments doesn't make exploration good. The movement, interactions, environmental effects, and things you find are all subpar. It gets very repetitive and boring less than half way through.
Dark Souls Hogwarts
yeah, it's gorgeous. mist keeps ruining the beautiful scenery though.
>you will never own a castle on top of a cliff in the middle of a mountain lake
So quick question, when Ranni asks if I want to serve her when I find her behind Caria Manor does that lock me into a particular storyline or is it optional sidequest/just part of the main game?
literally the only good open world games are MMOs
Filtered
it gives you an optional ending apparently
my wife ranni lives there
